    FFA Facts:

    FFA was founded in 1928 but was not open to women until 1969.

    649,355 FFA Members in 7859 Chapters in all 50 States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

    Originally FFA was knows as NFA.

    The National FFA Foundation has raised more than $200 Million for the National FFA Organization since 1944.

    About 23% of raw U.S. Farm products are exported each year.

    Today's farmers produce 262% more food with 2% fewer inputs compared with 1950.

    There are around 2.2 million farms in the United States.

    Michigan is ranked 1st Nationally for the production of picking cucumbers, geraniums, petunias, blueberries and squash.

    • Is the second largest industry in the state of Michigan.
    • Contributes over $101.2 billion annually to the state economy.

  • SPRINGPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP
    SATURDAY, MARCH, 2017

    Springport Elementary is now enrolling kindergarten students for 2017-2018

    Eligibility Age: Must be 5 years of age by September 1, 2017

    Springport Elementary will be hosting a parent meeting on March 15th from 6 to 7 PM. Parents will pick up enrollment packets, meet administration and teachers, and hear about kindergarten programs.

    Families will be invited back on March 29th from 6-7 PM for a Kindergarten Open House where kindergarten students will explore classrooms, meet teachers and staff, tour the school, and participate in fun activities.
